Zone Jocks
Colin Boyd
Saturday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Colin Boyd
Colin is the host of the Zone's movie show, The Big Picture, Saturday mornings from 8 - 10am.

NAME: Colin Boyd

HOMETOWN: Somewhere in Oklahoma

FAVORITE FILM CHARACTER AND WHY: Nigel Tufnel from Spinal Tap was always a favorite. Blacula's pretty cool.

IN THE LAST ELECTION, DID YOU VOTE AND WHO FOR?: I did. I voted for the other guy.

WHO IS/WAS YOUR BEST KISS?: My girlie. (Awww)

BIG LEAGUE CHEW OR BUBBLE TAPE?: Big League Chew. It always used to make me feel like I was just a couple years away from a giant cancerous tumor in my bottom lip, but alas...no.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 5 FAVORITE MOVIES?:
1) Rear Window
2) Citizen Kane
3) Touch of Evil
4) The Exorcist
5) Vertigo

IF YOU COULD DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THE FORM OF AN ANIMAL, WHICH ANIMAL WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?: A Liger. It's like a lion and tiger mixed, bred for its skills in magic.

WHAT WAS YOUR SAT SCORE?: 1350, I think.

HAVE PEOPLE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU LOOK LIKE SOMEONE FAMOUS AND WHO?: John Cusack.

WHAT'S YOUR PORNO NAME?: I don't like the game where you use your pet's name with the street you lived on or whatever, but I know that I'd want to be called Jock Driller.

Colin is the host of the Zone's movie show, The Big Picture, Sunday mornings from 8 - Noon. Although you may not always agree with his opinions on the new releases, at least he sees all the bad ones so you never have to. Come on: Gigli, The Whole Ten Yards? You wouldn't dream of seeing them, but Colin does...because he cares.

He also scores really hip interviews, like John Cusack, Quentin Tarantino, The Rock, Billy Bob Thornton, Cher, and more. In fact, his interview with Carmen Electra ran in College Times and won Colin an Arizona Press Club award for best feature writing in the state. As near as we can figure, it's because he made Electra look like a stupid bimbo.

Colin's been with the Zone longer than just about anyone else: He made his on-air debut in June, 1997, meaning he's old and crabby. Anyway, if you're ever up in Sin City, you can check out his movie reviews in Las Vegas City Life, or here in the Valley in College Times, online at bigpictureradio.com, and of course, Sunday mornings on The Big Picture.
